We had another busy term in the autumn.
From September to December we sent out 24 volunteers to 21 different schools. We taught 26 cohorts of children which means another 700 students have been through our carbon literacy and climate action programme. Many congratulations and thanks to all the hard-working volunteers that have been involved.
We were particularly delighted to expand to new boroughs where we haven't operated yet, such as Lewisham and Waltham Forest. We will continue expanding to new areas in the spring term by sending out our first volunteers in Tower Hamlets and Croydon. We are also getting very promising feedback from students who've been through the programme about all the ways they are finding to reduce their carbon footprints with their families. This is proving that our programme really does have an impact in inspiring people to take action on climate change.
And to finish here are some quotes from children who went through the programme last term:
'Amazing, I give it 100/5!'
'I think you guys cannot make this much better and thank you so much for coming to this school and teaching us.’
'I really liked it and now I know more about climate change and how to act towards it.'
Wishing everyone the best for 2023.
